What does F.A.M.E. stand for?
Freedom, Acceptance, Meaning, and Existence
What is a life coach?
A life coach listens to you and is able to help you verbalize what you want to achieve in life. Once your plan is created, a life coach will help you stick with your plan to help you achieve the goal(s) you have set to accomplish. A life coach will then support, encourage, challenge, and motivate you to achieve your goal(s).
How does life coaching work?
Life coaching focuses on you. You set the tone for each life coaching session. In the first few sessions, you are able to talk about where you want to be in your life and what areas of your life you want to improve. From there, you set the goal(s) you would like to accomplish. Once your goal(s) have been established, we will create an action plan. An action plan outlines what steps you will need to take in order to achieve your set goals. Life coaching holds you accountability for achieving those goals by discussing your action plan and the challenges you have encountered along the way. Life coaching allows you to stay focused and adapt your plans as needed in order to achieve your goal(s).
Would a life coach be helpful for me?
If you have a goal that you want to accomplish, then a life coach is good to have. If you need help with creating and carrying out a plan, then a life coach will be also be helpful. Moreover, if you want to have more freedom, acceptance, meaning, and existence in your life, then a life coach would also be beneficial.
What happens during a life coaching session?
Life coaching sessions start with a check-in on how things have been going for you since previous life coaching session. You will discuss your general progress as it relates to your goal and action plan. A goal will be set each session, where the focus is on what you what to achieve before the end of the session. You are encouraged to talk about your progress and any challenges you have encountered since the previous session. Any variations that need to be adjusted to your action plan will be addressed during your life coaching sessions.
How long are life coaching sessions?
Each life coaching session will take approximately minutes. Life coaching sessions can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or whenever to meet your needs.
How many sessions do I need?
This is based on how dedicated you are to achieving your goal and following your action plan. Most individuals hire a life coach because they have a goal in mind that they would like to achieve. For some, this may take as little as 1 or 2 sessions. However, for other individuals it may take more sessions. Again, it depends on how dedicated you are to achieving your goal(s).
Where does coaching take place?
Coaching can be done in-person, over the phone, or via video. Coaching with me will take place over the phone. Because life can be fast paced and busy, communicating by phone has proven to be the most convenient way to fit coaching into your busy life.
How much does life coaching cost?
Coaching costs about the same as seeing any other health professional. With me, sessions cost $80 an hour and last approximately 45 minutes. You will also have access to me between sessions via email, as needed, for any questions or support until the next phone session.
What do I have to do to start working with you?
First, you will need to make a commitment to achieving your goal(s). After you have made this commitment, all you need to do is contact me to let me know when you are ready to begin your new journey toward F.A.M.E.
What are the benefits of life coaching?
Life coaching can allow you to get to your goals quicker than you could on your own. Life coaching is dedicated to you achieving your goal(s). Life coaching is designed to not only achieve your set of goal(s); but provide you with tools and techniques to help you achieve any future goal(s) you set for yourself.
How is life coaching different from counseling?
Both life coaching and counseling focus on individuals improving their lives. Both life coaches and counselors ask important questions and remain objective in your search for answers. However, counselors primarily focus on past emotions and issues affecting the present. Counselors primarily focus on treating symptoms of an underlying mental health condition. However, life coaches focus on current behaviors and issues affecting the future.
