ABOUT ME:

I graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2021 with my Bachelor’s in Clinical Psychology and continued at Franciscan to complete my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling a year later in 2022. I have worked with children, adolescents and young adults dealing with a spectrum of issues ranging from life transitions to severe mental health diagnosis.

I have worked in a summer camp, a college campus, and a residential treatment center over the last 3 years. I have assisted children and their families navigate the challenges in life, including social skills, traumatic life events, adapting to new life circumstances and other mental health issues. I recently received my Associate License in Counseling this past summer. 

Some therapeutic interventions that I employ are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior therapy with components of person-centered therapy and positive behavioral support techniques.

MY PHILOSOPHY:

I believe in the holistic view of the human person, a person is mind, body, and soul. Each part of the person must be attended to individually to be subsequently integrated into a whole life. The person has a multitude of facets that contribute to their mental health, environmental, physical, medical, spiritual, interpersonal relationships, trauma, life experiences to name just a few. I believe by providing attention to the human person as a composite being of mind, body, and soul, not solely their presenting problem, a person can find a stable and sustainable lifestyle. I endeavor to create a safe environment for clients to overcome their difficulties and accept the changes in their life, I strive to collaborate with each person to encourage growth and allows the space for an individualized plan to flourish.
